What Is Wedding Coordination?

Wedding Coordination is for the bride who knows what she wants and feels confident selecting her own vendors. A Wedding Coordinator and Wedding Planner are often confused because they have similar roles but differ in the level of planning assistance and affordability. 


Wedding Planners schedule tastings, book vendors, select décor, and in some cases hand disbursement of final payment to vendors. Wedding Coordinators strictly oversee the event setup/takedown, create a timeline, and keep the event on schedule.  

Essentially, a Wedding Coordinator will ensure all the hard work throughout the planning process is properly executed to take the stress off friends and family but without the hefty price tag.

Pre Event Production

1st Choice Entertainment Coordinators work with their brides and grooms to provide wedding wedding coordination services and guidance beginning eight weeks prior to the wedding date. Our services are catered to the needs of each bride and may include services such as on-site venue visits, timeline assistance, vendor management and and logistics management.

Wedding Week

1st Choice Coordinators will meet with bride and groom to present timeline. Go over any arrangements the couple have previously made with vendors, and update timeline accordingly.

Additionally, the Coordinators will confirm final details with vendors prior to wedding day. Make sure that all vendors have our contact information.  We will ensure that vendors a copy of the final timeline and make sure they have directions to the ceremony and reception locations.

Finally, our Coordinators will coordinate the rehearsal with the wedding officiant.  ​

Weddind Day

On the big day, 1st Choice Coordinators will assist bride, groom, and bridal party with any needs that may arise.  We coordinate with all wedding day vendors (greet, setup, etc.); act as liaison between vendors, family members, and wedding party.  We supervise all setup details and vendors at ceremony & reception sites.  Overall conduct behind the scene event management and troubleshooting.

What We Bring to Weddings

As a professional entertainment company with roots originating from the Years of DJ entertainment, we bring a unique approach to coordinating. Having experience in the field of music and entertainment gives us an advantage most coordinators and planners don’t have, and that is keeping the entertainment aspect in mind when creating timelines and event plans.  



I’m sure you’re wondering why the entertainment aspect is so important? During an event, planners and coordinators without our expertise typically step out once dinner is served and the cake has been cut. Their main job is to ensure the wedding stays on schedule without giving thought to if guests are having fun, simply because they’ve never had to consider this very important aspect when creating a timeline. At the end of the day, you are paying for a party. You want your guests stay engaged and enjoy their time because years from now they won’t remember the food or decorations, but simply how much fun they had at your wedding or event.
